I never heard of this book (do you have the ISBN at hand?), but itīs all complete rubbish. The LS
engine isnīt "weak" at all. It doesnīt have much
output in horsepower (31 hp DIN)compared to other
thumpers, especially modern dualsports, but it
does have a lot of torque at low rpm (45,5 Newton
at 3,400 rpm), which means a lot of midrange power
(give it a test uphill against a 535 Virago)
If you`re not hankering for high speeds (in that
case you should avoid *any* cruiser),the Savage is
a fine bike.
